Shadamy: High Schools Hard Life Part 15

[Shadows P.O.V]

I groaned "Why the hell won't you just die!" he smirked "because..." He flipped over our heads "I like disappearing better..." and with that he vanished, "NO!" Jade swiped at the empty space in front of her, "Jade he's gone" "NO HE KILLED JET, HE HAS TO COME BACK!" I stepped back "W-what!?" Jade just ran over to the place where my best friend lay, "hey Jet, everybody came to say goodbye..." Jade said in a loving tone, his breath suddenly but slowly returned to him, his eyes slowly fluttered open and he smiled up at me "hey bro, you alright?" he asked "I wouldn't be worrying about me, we have to get you home and to a hospital" He coughed "I think its to late man, I'm leaving I've done everything I can on this earth" "That's a lie Jet" Jade sobbed, "do you guys see that light... oh wait a minute that's just" "no I see it to" Amy looked at the same place we were all looking, the room was being engulfed by a bright light "we are going back to our world now, Jet we might be able to save you!" he smiled weakly, and caressed her face "don't make those kind of wishes Jade, they will get you hurt"

5 seconds later we were by the school gates, knuckles was standing there waiting, "the ambulance is on its way here guys" "How did you..." "The Master Emerald told me everything, so when Jet was hurt, I called one straight away, they should be here," The ambulance pulled up on the side walk, "now."

"out of the way please," a grey racoon and a blue dog pulled out a stretcher and lifter Jet onto it, "Wait I'm coming to!" "Look sweetie I..." She looked down at jet, and sighed "Get in honey" "we'll meet you there" She nodded as the ambulances doors shut. "lets go guys, Amy, Sonic you come with me, knuckles you go get Rouge, Tails, and practically anyone who you think cares, that doesn't include his fan girls." Knuckles nodded and ran off, "let's go guys," "Shadow wait" "what is it Sonic, we don't have all day?" "Exactly, you go on your bike, it will be faster alone, I promise on my life I will get Amy there safe and sound" "How?" "The old fashioned way" He smirked and nodded at Amy, who jumped on his back, "Meet you there Shady" She smiled and kissed me on the cheek "Get her there safe faker" with that I ran off to get my bike.

[Jade's P.O.V]

It was so horribly silent in the ambulance, all I could do was  hold Jets hand and stare into his eyes as he stared back into mine, my life is so terribly messed up, I love Jet more than anything but I've loved Talon for as long as I can remember, not to mention one of them is dying before my eyes and I never got chance to show him how much I really love him. As we pulled into the hospital I quickly jumped out of the nurses way, then followed them to the operation room "Sorry miss but you'll have to stay outside" I stared at Jet while the door slammed in my face. I put my hands on the door and slid down to the ground, for a second I just sat there, not moving, not breathing, not thinking, just staring. Then I rolled over a bit so I was sitting about half a meter from where the door was, for another minute I sat there just staring before I gave if, I put my head in my hands and my hands on my knees and wailed, tears streamed down through my fur and onto the floor. I needed something to hold, a teddy a blanket, a box of chocolates anything, so when a young wolf boy offered to comfort me, I didn't refuse, he helped me up to my knees and pulled me into a hug, he was only about 10 or so, so when I was on my knees he could cry onto my shoulder and I hold just hold him.

After we cried I picked him up and took him over to a seat, that's when he started telling me about his big brother who was in the hospital, he got attacked trying to save a young girl, he succeeded but he suffered badly from it. I told him about what happened to Jet, I know he didn't understand any of it but he was still someone to talk to. I let him fall asleep on my lap while I stroked his hair and sang to him. He was such a sweet little boy, I looked down the hall, Shadow came running in along with Amy, Sonic, knuckles, cream, tails, Cosmo, rouge, Talon, silver and blaze. "Jade what's" "Shush! You'll wake him" They then became aware of the small wolf curled up on my lap. I continued to stroke his soft fur until he woke up, just then a nurse came by, "Justin, Justin? Oh there you are, you can see your big brother now" Justin looked up at me and yawned "Hey kid, do you want to go see your big brother, he nodded sleepily, and got up, the nurse went to take his hand but he continued pulling mine "Would you mind going with him dear, he seems to find comfort in your presence" I nodded "I'm happy to, come on Justin"

He lead me to the room, were his brother was sitting up eating, I pushed open the door and Justin pulled me in, "Hey Justin, how's my favourite little brother doing" He ruffled his hair, "and who's this Justin, is this the nice nurse who looks after you" Justin shook his head "This is Jade, her friend is in the room next door, she told me that he's a superhero just like you" His brother chuckled, come sit down then, I smiled and took a seat, we talked about what happened with jet and he told me what happened to him, after that it was normal chat until I saw a figure at the door, "hold on a second, ill be right back" I walked out the door to see "Shadow what are you doing?" "making sure you were ok" I rolled my eyes at him, "well I'm fine now, just trying to take my mind off everything, is that ok with you" Shadow nodded and I hugged him, "sorry" he said "its fine, now go socialise" I shooed him away and walked into the room again.

"Who was that?" "My brother" "Is he a superhero as well?" "yeah, something like that I guess" I smiled at Justin's words. 10 minutes later Shadow came bursting through the door, "Jade quick, come now!" I nodded and got up "Bye Blake, bye Justin" I gave him a quick hug before running off with Shadow "What is it?" Before he had time to answer, we burst into Jets room. Everybody sat silently, I thought to myself 'Oh god no, he didn't make it did he?' "J-Jade?" "Jet!?" I rushed over to his side, "You're ok" "Yeah" he smiled at me "Jade, you should go find Talon at the food court, he's going to get me lunch" I stopped "uh yeah ok I guess, so, good to see your better" then I just walked out.

[Shadows P.O.V]

I looked back at Jet and face palmed, luckily no one else seemed to notice or care. I walked out and caught up to Jade, she began to wipe away tears as she heard me approaching "what?" She looked at me "Why were you crying?" "I'm just so happy that he's ok I guess" I raised my brow at her "Oh don't give me that look" she huffed folding her arms "Your upset cause he's acting like he doesn't know what happened, between you two that is, am I correct?" She sighed "yes..." "Jets doing this out of your best interest, he's telling you to go see talon, you know your boyfriend" "Shut up shadow, I know what he's doing and he's right I should see Talon but he just acted like I was nothing to him...whatever, you want something to eat?" "I'm coming with you to the cafe so I can get it myself" "yeah but do you have money" "uhhhh... no good point, can I have a hot chocolate and a packet of jelly beans" She raised her brow at me "ok then" The hot chocolate was actually for Amy and the jelly beans were for Jade, she liked to eat them when she was upset. She ran over and hugged Talon, she looked happy, I wish I knew how she felt right now, I always used to know how she was feeling and could relate, but I've never had to choose between two people I love. I guess I just have to let Amy handle this one.

[Jets P.O.V]

I felt bad, sending Jade off like that, it hurt, a lot, she had obviously been really happy to see that I was ok, but I couldn't do that to talon, I couldn't do that to anyone. I stared at the ceiling thinking to myself 'she's happy Jet, when the time comes you'll get your chance' Just then, Shadow, Jade and Talon walked in the door, something seemed different though...

[Amy's P.O.V]

Something was wrong, I could tell from the instant they walked in, Jade looked happy, just like she normally did when she was with Talon, but Talon looked strange, he knew something, something only a few of us know. I had to talk to him, but maybe when Jets out of the hospital. That's in a week though, that's an awful long time to wait for something important.

1 Week Later

"well done Jet, you've made a full recovery, you wont even need to go to rehab to rebuild your strength, good luck in life sir" and with that, Jet, Shadow, Jade, Talon, and I all walked out of the hospital, feeling pretty darn good about ourselves. The only thing that spoiled this was, school was tomorrow. We had all decided to have a sleep over at Jade and Shads place. This would give me a chance to talk to talon. Once we got to Shadows house we all got in our Pj's it was 7:00 so we wouldn't be going anywhere. "Hey Talon, can I talk to you for a second?" "yeah sure Amy, what's up" We walked outside "The better question is, Talon what's up?" "huh?" he looked at me with a puzzled expression planted on his face. "Don't think I haven't noticed you acting weird especially around Jade or Jet. He scratched the back of his head, "yeah well there's an explanation for that" "and... go on" "Amy, do you think Jades losing interest in me" That question hit me like a tonne of bricks, was she losing interest? I don't know, she seems the same as she was when they first got together but I'm not going to pretend I didn't hear everything that went on back in Mephalises lair. "Well I... I cant say for sure, but I'm positive that she still loves you completely" "ok" he smiled a little bit "that doesn't explain why you're weird around Jet..." he looked at the ground.


"Wait a minute, you know don't you, everything, you aren't awkward around Jade cause you're scared shes losing interest you're scared she's going to leave you for Jet" He continued to look at the ground "I don't believe this... Talon look at me" He looked up at me, guilt displayed in his eyes "You like another girl don't you..." He didn't answer "DON'T YOU?!" "ALRIGHT YES, BUT I HAVENT ACTED ON IT I SWEAR!" I glared at him, "You two have to break up" I folded my arms "WHAT!" "If this girl is who I think it is, then she wants you as much as you want her, and I'm sorry but jade would love Jet way more than she loved you" I smirked "That's... not...nice" "But its true, hold on a second" I rushed inside and within 5 seconds I had brought out Jade "Talon... look at me" she said , he looked up into her eyes and she gasped "OMG HE SO DOES!!!" "I KNEW IT" "huh?" "You soooo like Kara, it's to obvious" Jade squealed in delight "Aren't you even upset?" "Upset why would I be upset, this is the best news ever!" "The best new ever, is the fact that we are breaking up" "no silly, the best news ever is the fact that you like Kara!" "but that means its over between us" Jade suddenly stopped bouncing, she peered inside the window to see Jet and Shadow laughing at an unknown joke, tears formed in her eyes and she turned back to Talon, grabbing his hands "That's ok, because I want you to be with the person you love, even if it means letting the person I love go, I have to go inside and call Kara now, but you'll always be very special to me" She planted a soft kiss on his cheek and we rushed inside.

We dialled Kara's number as quickly as possible, "hello... Listen Kara its Jade... yep cool now listen Me and Talon just broke up, I want you to run over here, jump into his arms and hug him like you've never hugged anyone before do you  understand me he likes you...hello?" the phone line went dead and within 30 seconds, we heard laughter from outside, we rushed outside to see Talon and Kara hugging. Jade wiped a tear away, not one of sadness but of happiness for not only them but herself. She peered over to Jet, who was already staring at her, smiling. I nudged her and winked "go on then" I smiled

[Jades P.O.V]

I slowly walked over to Jet, it all seemed like a fairy tale, things that only happen movies, but it was all coming true, everyone was happy, even Cosmo has a boyfriend now, that wolf really took liking to her. It was all piecing together, something was meant to go wrong by now, but no... "did you hear that?" Shadow looked off into the distance and my ears perked up. "Footsteps... everybody stand still!" Everybody froze, "Jade, who do you think it is?" "I'll tell you this, is not someone we want to see... or at least someone me and Shadow don't want to see" Shadow looked down at me "No way, I thought we destroyed him" "we did, but you know dad" "Dad?!" everybody yelled in unison. We only had time to nod "He's too close, everybody get inside NOW!" "Where are you going?" Amy called from the door "we are going to stop him... or at least slow him down enough to let you guys escape" I muttered the last sentence under my breath but smiled at her, stopping a quick tear from falling from my ruby orbs. "I'm coming with you" She began to step out the door but I rushed over and stopped her before she could take a second.


"No don't!" I yelled, pushing her back inside. Jet took hold of her "look after her ok" he just nodded as she squirmed. I shut the door and ran to Shadow, "we can lead him away if we start now" "but to where will we lead him?" Shadow looked around and pointed "To the old abandoned factory, its void of life" I nodded and we started to run.
